What is Ruse Outdoors?

Ruse Outdoors is a tool for outdoor enthusiasts to utilize by renting or listing equipment they either need or aren't using. Adventurers can hop on Ruse to rent gear from locals or list their own equipment and fund their next expedition. Ruse won't only allow you to find gear at affordable prices but a community of people all interested in the same things you are! At Ruse, you won't only see equipment but find new friends and establish a community you can call home.

Our Mission

Our mission at Ruse is to connect and contribute to our community. We want to form a collective of like minded individuals and create new experiences for everyone. By providing the security of the Ruse platform, members will feel at ease knowing that we’ve got your back when it comes to your equipment's safety.

Ruse is not only valuable for our members but for our environment as well. Through a sustainability mindset, we promote the use of all equipment; old and new that are capable of completing the tasks we need. We believe that our users haven’t reached their fullest potential in adventure and creating new experiences. So too, as an extension of our users, our equipment hasn't reached its fullest potential either. Ruse, like our users, loves our planet and wants to cherish and maintain its beauty. We strive to clean up what we can, reuse what we can, and create unforgettable memories where we can!

How It Works

As the renter, you will be able to search up a product, click on that item, and look at its details and prices. You will then be able to book that item on the specific days that you need it for. Once booked, you will be prompted to submit a photo ID, credit card information, and pay. Don't worry! You can cancel at any time in case plans change. Once paid for you’ll be able to start chatting with the lister on details for pickup. You’ll find listings for products with different prices created by various sellers.

As the lister, you will be able to list whatever product you want from the categories provided at whatever price you want. You can cancel rentals whenever you see fit and post multiple listings in different areas of the city. Remember to include specific details about your listings, existing damages that may exist, and other important information you want the renters to know.

As a member of the Ruse family you will have access to the community board where you can post events, pictures from your recent adventures, and connect with your community. This is a great area to tell people about cool experiences and different opportunities in your city. We all have a passion for the same thing, so enjoy meeting the rest of the Ruse family here and remember to be respectful to one another!
